NJC Finally Takes Bold Decision On Onnoghen After Meeting 0 0
TRENDING -  NJC Finally Takes Bold Decision On Onnoghen After Meeting
The emergency meeting of the National Judicial Council (NJC) has ended, TheCable can report.

The council has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Walter Onnoghen, the suspended chief justice of Nigeria, to respond to a petition filed against him by the office of the attorney-general of the federation.

Ibrahim Muhammad, the acting CJN, has also been given a seven-day ultimatum to respond to a petition against him over an alleged breach of NJC rules.

The body referred petition written against Danladi Umar, the Code of Conduct Tribunal chairman, to the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC).
NJC will now reconvene on February 11, 2019 to discuss further actions against the nation’s top two judicial officers.

CJN's removal by the presidency was unconstitutional. However, he's not getting full backing of the NJC.

Certainly he wasn't backed up by the CJN. But what has the president done or planning to do which he is not insuport of. Why hasn't he (The President) been impeached? It's against the Nigerias' Constitution.

That is bad
What is that now
Nice post

Thanks for the update

I've forgotten about this matter, there is nothing anyone can do
